Cold water sessions for those navigating hormonal changes, midlife transitions or simply needing time to slow down.

Overview

The Wild Pause is a small group session designed for anyone who feels this is the right space for them. Whether you’re experiencing hormonal shifts, midlife changes or just need a quieter, more considered session, this is time to step back, get in the water and move at your own pace.

There’s no pressure to swim far or fast. You can dip, swim gently or simply spend time in the water. The focus is on creating a calm, supportive environment where you can take a breath and feel more settled.

Open to anyone aged 16 and over.

What to expect

  • A small group (up to six swimmers)
  • A short pre-session guide to help you prepare
  • A safety briefing before getting in
  • A gentle, flexible session in Loch Venachar
  • Space for conversation or quiet time

Important to know 

You should be able to swim at least 200 metres. If I haven’t swum with you before, we’ll do a gentle check first.
These are relaxed sessions rather than coached swims.

What you’ll need

  • Wetsuit
  • Tow float
  • Swim shoes or boots
  • Swim cap

If you’re looking for a quieter, more relaxed way to be in the water, this is a space where you can take things at your own pace.
