1. About Us

Wild in Scotland is a sole trader providing open water swimming coaching, guided experiences, and related services.

By making a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Bookings

All bookings are made through our online booking system and are secured by full payment. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email with key information about your session or experience. Please check your booking details carefully and contact us as soon as possible if anything is incorrect.

3. Participation Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you are fit and able to take part in your chosen session or experience. Minimum swimming ability will vary depending on the session and will be clearly stated at the point of booking. 

For structured experiences (such as Shore to Crannog), specific requirements must be met. If these are not met, participation may not be possible and no refund will be given.

4. Age Requirements

All bookings must be made by someone aged 18 or over. Some sessions may have minimum age requirements, which will be stated at booking.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise agreed.

5. Health & Medical Information

You must provide accurate and up to date health information before taking part. You are responsible for informing us of any changes to your health before your session. We reserve the right to refuse participation where we believe it is unsafe to continue.

6. Equipment

You are responsible for bringing all required kit unless hire has been arranged in advance. We will provide a list of required items before your session. If you arrive without the required kit, you may not be able to take part and no refund will be given. Any hired equipment must be returned in good condition. Charges may apply for loss or damage.

7. Cancellations by You

Cancellations must be made through our online booking system.

Coaching Sessions (1-2-1 and group)
Cancellations made with at least 48 hours’ notice may be rescheduled.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. 

Experiences and Multi-Session Bookings (including Shore to Crannog and similar)

All bookings are non-refundable.
Your place is secured for the full series and cannot be cancelled, refunded, or partially refunded if you are unable to attend one or more sessions.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another participant, subject to approval and meeting the required criteria. Bookings are made on an individual basis. If other participants cancel, your place remains confirmed and non-refundable. Session dates are provided in advance and cannot be rearranged.

8. Cancellations by Wild in Scotland

We aim to run all sessions as planned. However, we may need to cancel or adjust a session due to:

  • unsafe weather or water conditions
  • instructor illness
  • other unforeseen circumstances

Where this happens:

We will offer an alternative date where possible. If this is not suitable, a full refund will be provided.

We are not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred.

9. Weather & Conditions

Open water swimming is weather dependent. Sessions will go ahead in a range of conditions where it is safe to do so. Changes to location, timing, or format may be made where necessary.

10. Punctuality

Please arrive ready to begin at the scheduled start time. If you arrive late, we may not be able to include you in the session. Missed time will not be made up or refunded.

11. Behaviour

You are expected to follow all instructions and act responsibly at all times. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose behaviour puts themselves or others at risk. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

12. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for your personal belongings. Wild in Scotland accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage.

13. Risk & Responsibility

Open water swimming carries inherent risks. By taking part, you accept these risks. We take reasonable steps to ensure safety, but participation is at your own risk.

14. Photography

We may take photos or videos during sessions for promotional use. If you do not wish to be included, please let us know before your session.

15. Data Protection

We handle your personal data in accordance with UK data protection law. Your information is used to manage your booking, communicate with you, and deliver our services. For full details on how we collect, use, and store your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
